Teen Vogue, Nordstrom, and New Career Chapter

It is not very often that one is blessed with the opportunity to combine their life passion with their career. Working for Nordstrom over the past four years makes the actual task of working seem like play. How fun is it that I get to style customers and talk with people about fashion all day? Not to mention, from time to time, I get to be involved in collaborations with companies like Teen Vogue. My store was fortunate enough to host a Teen Vogue fashion event on April 5th which was an absolute blast. The magazine reps flew in from New York City to partner with my management team to put on a fabulous party for our BP customers. As for my outfit planning for the occasion, I spent weeks getting inspired and shopping. When I found this mod-inspired Topshop skirt, I immediately envisioned this piece with a black tank top, white blazer, and contrasting statement necklace.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct your paths.
Proverbs 3:5-6
Through my 50 Days of Transformation from earlier this year, I have expanded my understanding of what it truly means to trust God with my career path. This verse stood out to me in the Vocational Health segment of the study because when I learned to let go of my own work plans and follow God, he continuously opens new doors that never disappoint me. Not to mention, his next moves for me are always way more maj than I could ever plan for myself. This Teen Vogue Event was an amazing way to end one Nordstrom chapter as I began my new chapter this week. I love that he never fails to place me in positions that I am able to use my spiritual gifts and share the love of Jesus Christ through fashion.
Have a darling week!
