Wow. What a week is has been. I spent last Monday through Friday at Thousand Pines Christian Camp with my adorable and rambunctious middle schoolers from SSM. I chose to forgo a blog post last week as I geared up for a week of serving, paint-balling, worshiping, zip-lining, praying, and rock climbing. While it was an unforgettable experience, I was thrilled to explore PCH for this week’s adventure. Our first stop was at Browne’s Flower stand where I couldn’t get over the gerber daisies arranged in rainbow order. Oh and the SUNFLOWERS. The sunflowers were unbelievable! Our next stop was the Montage as we over looked the water and the hills of Laguna. Another one of my summer obsessions that grows from the earth is pineapples. This Old Navy, gold pineapple tank top was a perfect pair with my metallic BCBG Generation skirt.

I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me, you can do nothing.
John 15: 5
During my week at Thousand Pines, the messages were centered around John 15 where the central theme is rooting yourself in God and His word. In order for the beautiful flowers and pineapples of the world grow, the seeds must be planted in good soil, just as our hearts should be. Something so simple really spoke to me this week as the Paster stated, ‘Where we end up is determined by the path we are on.’ Following God’s direction completely is the ultimate way!
Have a fruitful week!
