Falling for Fringe and Flannel

October, I am coming for ya! Call me crazy, but I celebrate Halloween all month long. It always starts out with a pumpkin patch, and this was my first trip to the Irvine Regional Park. It was so gosh darn adorable, let me tell you. From the children’s train to the hay maze I was in Halloween Heaven. I already have two potential costume ideas in the works and am brainstorming ideas for my craft creations, but trust me, the fall festivities will not stop there. Can’t stop, won’t stop. For this excursion to the pumpkin patch, I threw on my black cotton midi skirt and fringe tank top, with my chiffon flannel tied around my waist. My beige peep-toe booties and tarnished gold statement necklace are two of my favorite fall accessories.

The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
Psalm 27:1
When I think of Halloween as a holiday, candy, jack-o-lanterns, and fear are the first few topics that come to mind. With theme park horror nights and late night scary movie commercials, the season of Halloween can be frightening, just as certain seasons of life can be. Have no fear, you child of God! Jesus is on our side in the darkest of times and he will be the light that guides us back to Him. Don’t let fear hold you back from fulfilling God’s will for your life! What is truly frightening is to miss out on the opportunities He has in store.
Have a brave week!
