Be My Guest, Be My Guest

Here comes the bride, Going to the Chapel, and oh… other songs about weddings make my heart full of joy. Last week I attended a wedding as a guest of my beautiful best friend, Julia. The ceremony and reception took place at Fort McArthur in San Pedro, overlooking the water. Kristen, the bride, was breathtaking, and let’s not forget that her dress was stunning! When shopping for this occasion, I found this Topshop romper and couldn’t live without it. Luckily for me, I had matching pale pink caged heels sitting in my closet waiting to be worn topped off with a vintage beaded clutch.

Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her.
Ephesians 5:25
Obviously, husbands are called to love their wives. Hello, that’s what vows are for anyway! God is calling us to love in a way that Christ sacrificially loved his church. This love is much harder, but totally attainable. Marriage requires endless selfless acts, compromise, and the ability to always choose love. When our relationship with Jesus comes first, everything else will fall into place.
Have a loving week!
