Feelings of Fall- Mark 6:56

Don’t get me wrong… I am totally enjoying summer! Popsicles, poolsides, and parties, OH MY. This Southern California heat (80ish degrees I know… Don’t complain, Sarah) has been particularly hard this year with no air conditioning in our beloved apartment! Especially when I am forward thinking to fall fashion, which is on sale now at Nordstrom! Until the leaves vaguely start changing colors here (so like November 30th?…) I will enjoy what’s left of summer vacation. However, while I can take advantage of next season’s wardrobe must haves, I will be shopping away!

Wherever He entered villages, or cities, or countryside, they were laying the sick in the market places, and imploring Him that they might just touch the fringe of His cloak; and as many as touched it were being cured.
Mark 6:56
Fringe is finding its way into Fall 2015 fashion trends across all angles: handbags, shoes, jackets, etc. Getting a degree in Fashion taught me that the world ‘fringe’ also means the edge of a garment. Back in the day, and I am taking Jesus’ day, people fled to the cities in hopes to touch the fringe of our Lord’s cloak because he had a reputation of healing the sick. How does touching a coat heal somebody from disease? It was not the finger physically coming in contact with the cloak, but the faith that these people believed that Jesus could perform miracles. After finding this verse, I will now be reminded of the power of Jesus every time I see fringe this fall!
Have a blessed day!
