City Girl or Country Girl- Leviticus 26:3-4

After living in Southern California for the last twenty something years, my location defines me as neither a city girl or a country girl! However, nothing will stop me from pretending that I am a little bit of both. My heart belongs to tall buildings, bustling crowds, and diverse food choices, but I also have a spot in my heart for line dancing, cowgirl boots, and homemade cornbread. This is why I was so excited to partner with Lejon Belts and their Vintage Bison collection.
The right all white dress can be hard to find. Some fabrics are too see-through. Some styles are too formal. And don’t get me started about magically becoming a slob the moment I wear white. In conclusion, the price of the dress must be affordable. This fit and flare number is from… drumroll please… Old Navy. Shocked? You shouldn’t be. While this dress is quite lovely on its own, the western belts are the perfect addition when paired with the cowgirl boots from Boot Barn. I couldn’t decide which style belt I liked better with this look, so I thought I would feature both!

If you walk in My statutes and keep My commandments so as to carry them out, then I shall give you rains in their season, so that the land will yield its produce and the trees of the field will bear their fruit.

Leviticus 26:3-4

I am not a born and raised country girl who can lasso, milk a cow, and yield the crops, but a true farmer knows the importance of rain to a field. In the Old Testament of the Bible, God was very clear about following His instruction, and as a blessing, he would water the crops which would produce a living for that family. The opposite was also true back in the times of Leviticus. God was quite clear about the punishments that would occur for disobeying His word. Fast forward to present day, we have Jesus to thank for our forgiveness of our sins, but we should still strive to keep the Lord’s commandments, simply because He knows what’s best for us!

Have a blessed week!
